
Stillwater 34 Mechanicville 7: Stillwater quarterback James Galarneau threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another, leading the Warriors to the easy victory over Mechanicville in the annual Indian Bowl matchup.
Stillwater scored the only points of the first period on a Mason Seymour touchdown run and the Warriors took the 7-0 lead.
Stillwater gained control in the second quarter on a pair of touchdowns strikes from Galarneau, when the senior QB connected with Ryan Greene from 19 yards out and followed with a 25-yard throw and catch for points to Isaac Cutler.
After the break Galarneau scored on a 44-yard jaunt, extending the Warrior lead to 27-0 after three periods, and in the final period Seymour capped the Stillwater scoring with his second rushing touchdown of the game from a yard out.
Mechanicville avoided the shutout on a Joe Sanchez 7-yard scoring run, for the final points of the night before the big crowd in Stillwater.
Galarneau and Seymour both topped 100 rushing yards in the game and Brian McNeil with six tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles led a dominating Warrior defense.
With the win Stillwater goes to 6-0 on the year and will wrap it’s regular season next Friday at home against Fonda.
Mechanicville slips to 2-4 with the loss and will finish their regular season at Tamarac on Friday.
