Another weekend of girls soccer action for Wasaren teams at Afrim’s Sports Complex.
Stillwater 8 Tamarac 1: The Warriors built a 5-0 lead by halftime and coasted to the non-league victory over Tamarac.
Brooke Pickett with four goals and Teya Staie with a pair led the Stillwater offense. Paige Brinsko and Trinity Cutler added single strikes for Stillwater who moves to 9-0-1 on the year.
Tamarac avoided the shutout when Sophie Champagne connected on a second half goal.
Cambridge 8 Canajoharie 0: The Indians held a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break, then exploded for six second half scores in the one-sided decision over Canjo.
Five different Indians found the range in the match with Vanessa Evans leading the way with a hat trick. Sophie Phillips added a pair of strikes, and Anna Headwell, Sydney Benson and Ruth Nolan all notched single tallies for 5-3 Cambridge squad.
Greenwich 4 Mayfield 1: Faith Ingber, and Tess Merrill connected on goals before intermission and Eilery Mays and Cate Abate did the same after the break leading the Witches to the 4-1 verdict over Mayfield.
With the win Greenwich improves to 5-2-1 on the season.
St. Johnsville 3 Hoosick Falls 2 OT: Alexis Mumford scored the game-winner as St. J slipped past the Panthers in overtime.
Sophie Estes and Phoebe Thompson with a goal each paced the Falls offensively.
Ft. Plain 6 Spa Catholic 0: Ft. Plain scored six times in the first half of play and cruised to the victory over the Saints.
Gabby Jenks and Autumn Todd with two goals apiece led the Hilltoppers.
Schoharie 9 Hoosic Valley 0: Katie Krohn rang the bell five times as Schoharie posted the shutout “W” over the Valley.
