Sophie Phillips drove to the paint and scored on a teardrop with 0:07 remaining giving the Indians a 44-42 victory over Tamarac in a battle between the Wasaren’s top squads.

Both teams entered with perfect league marks and the host Bengals ran out to a 14-7 lead after one, only to see the Indians battle back to take a 25-24 advantage into the break.

A 10-5 third period gave the lead back to Tamarac setting up the Cambridge comeback over the final eight minutes highlighted by Phillips game-winning deuce.

Freshman Fiona Mooney led all scorers with 17 points for Cambridge while Phillips finished with 13 points for the Indians who improve to 10-0 on the season with the “W”.

Tamarac, (9-2), was led by Emily Erickson and Renna Poulin who each netted 13 points on the night.
