Tuesday Night Hoops


There were a handful of non-league runs, and a pair of conference games for Wasaren squads Tuesday night.  Here’s how things played out.


Cambridge 58  Berne-Knox 34

Leading Scorers:  Indians – Lily Phillips 20     Fiona Mooney 14 & 21 rebounds     Knox – Taylor Meachum 14

Key Points:  Trailing 12-11 after the first eight minutes of play, Cambridge doubled up (44-22) the visitors from Knox the rest of the way in posting their 14th win in as many outings.


Stillwater 40  Galway 26

Leading Scorers:  Warriors – Marley Mueller 16      Galway – Carlee Hortsmann 7

Key Points:  The Warriors defense held Galway to single digits in each quarter paving the way to the non-league “W”.


Tamarac 63  Mohonasen 47

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Emily Erickson 26     Renna Poulin 26       Mohon – Breanna Lott 24

Key Points:  Erickson used the long ball knocking back five triples, while Poulin hit on 11 two point goals as the pair combined to outscore the visitors from Mohon. Tuesday night.


Loudonville Christian 30  Spa Catholic 28

Leading Scorers:  LC – Genny Swanson 17       Saints – Ani Crocker 11

Key Points:  Loudonville Christian posted their only double figure period of the night in the final eight minutes to notch the come-from-behind victory over the Saints.



Hoosick Falls 50  Mechanicville 33

Leading Scorers:  Panthers – Guy Milliman 17      Evan McCart 13     Jon Kempf 11      Red Raiders – Luciano D’Ambro 10

Key Points:  The Falls placed three players in doubles, and won every quarter in running their league mark to 9-0 on the year.


Stillwater 64  Berlin 46 (Monday)

Leading Scorers:  Warriors – Scott Travis 18     Grant Baker 12     Cooper Monast 11      Mountaineers – Tyler Kellar 15     Joshua Kendricks 15

Key Points:  The Warriors outscored Berlin 35-22 after the break, gradually pulling away and posting the comfortable road victory.
