Key Stat:  The Falls opened the game with a 20-0 run.

Take Away:  The host squad started fast and cruised to the comfortable “W” on Senior Night in Hoosick Falls.  With the victory the Falls go to 10-1, 15-2 on the season.

Key Stat:  The Saints outscored Greenwich 16-5 in the final frame.

Take Away:  Holding the slimmest of margins at 44-43 entering the final period, Spa Catholic used a big fourth quarter to get past the Witches and stay unbeaten in Wasaren play.  With the home “W” the Saints move to 11-0, 16-1 on the year.  

Stillwater Downs Hoosic Valley

Key Stat:  LaSalle outscored their guests 13-7 in the final frame.

Take Away:  Trailing 34-30 entering the final eight minutes, LaSalle held the visitors to seven points in the quarter and notched the come-from-behind win on Wednesday.

Key Stat:  Cambridge held their hosts to single scoring numbers in three of the four periods.

Take Away:  Cambridge built a 27-12 lead through three frames and closed out the nonleague “W” in a low scoring affair in Granville.  

Boys Hoops: Falls, Witches Earn “W’s”

Key Stat:  The Falls made more free throws than Mechanicville attempted knocking down 19 of 25, while Mechanicville connected on 6 of 11 from the stripe.

Take Away:  In a game that was tied at the break and saw Hoosick Falls leading 41-39 heading into the fourth frame, the Falls outscored their guests 18-9 over the last eight minutes to notch the home “W” and avenge a loss earlier in the season.  With the win the Panthers move to 9-1, 14-2 on the year.

Take Away:  Leading 30-29 at halftime, the Witches gained control with a big third period and held off the Valley for the home victory.

Key Stat:  Tamarac allowed just two Fordians to crack the scoring column.

Take Away:  The Bengals cruise behind a big night from Edmonds and stellar work at the defensive end, holding Waterford to single scoring numbers in every frame.

Take Away:  Trailing 26-18 at halftime Spa Catholic erased the deficit in the third and closed out the win in the fourth, Tuesday night in Saratoga.
