Stillwater 8 Hoosic Valley

Tye Morris and Dan Degrasse-Izzo fired rounds of 38, topping the field and leading Stillwater past Hoosic Valley in golf action on Friday.

Morris and Degrasse-Izzo along with Nick Rose and Max Parella all earned points with match wins for Stillwater.

Stillwater’s Julian Peluso and the Valley’s Jackson Schram split the point in flight two as did Stillwater’s Vicent Festa and Hoosic Valley’s Craig D’Avila in flight five.

Stillwater earned their final three points, besting the Valley 116-126 in the top three combined scores matchup.

Panthers, Raiders Notch Golf Wins

Hoosick Falls 6.5 Cambridge/Salem 2.5

Panthers Jack Shea and Spencer Tate shared medalist honors firing rounds of 42 to lead Hoosick Falls past Cambridge/Salem in action at the Hoosick Falls Country Club on Friday.

Other scores for the Falls included Aidyn DeGraff 49, Zach Houghton 51, Ben Startton 53, Quinn Hayes 55, Memphis Hathaway 57 and Lincoln Colvin with a round of 59.

Scores for C/S included Cody Donisthrope 45, Sawyer Armstrong 48, Stephen Yakubec 49, Connor Genevick 51, lain Foster 53 and Luke Yakubec with a round of 55.

Mechanicville 8 Waterford 1

Raiders Matthew Salvadore and Brody Landy with rounds of 43 topped the field in the home match win for Mechanicville.

Under the new scoring system this year each individual match win counts for one point with the top three scores combined for each team counting for three points.

Along with Salvadore and Landy, Vinny Taylor, AJ Messercola and John Cady earned match wins for Mechanicville, while Waterford’s Landon Pitcher in flight two prevailed for Waterford.

Mechanicville’s top three scores totaled 130 while the Fordians top three totaled 138.

Mechanicville’s Matt Salvadore fired a of one-under 33 to claim medalist honors and lead the visitors to the win in action at Hoosick Falls Country Club on Thursday.

Vinny Taylor, AJ Messercola, Brody Landy and John Cady all earned match wins for Mechanicville while C/S’s Connor Genevick posted a win in flight two.

Stephen Yakubec shot the low round for Cambridge/Salem, carding a 41.

Greenwich 8.5 Hoosick Falls .5

In golf action at the Battenkill Country Club Greenwich’s Sam Ziehm led the way with a round of 39 in the Witches season-opening win over Hoosick Falls

Other scores for Greenwich included Peter Wade 41, Dylan Brown and Brayden Stutzman with 42’s, Richie Coon 45 and Noah Spezio with a round of 46.

Scores for Hoosick Falls included Zach Houghton 45, Ben Stratton 48, Aidyn DeGraff 49, Quinn Hayes 51, Lincoln Colvin 55, and Memphis Hathaway with a round of 58.
