Mechanicville ran out to a 5-0 lead by halftime and cruised to the win over Greenwich on Wednesday.
Gianna Pitts led the Raider attack with four goals while Tanner Eiseman and Ella Manning added two scoring strikes each with Calli Christensen connecting on a single tally for Mechanicville.
Mechanicville keeper Christina Bornt did not record a save in the shutout, while Greenwich keeper Molly Andrew saved 14 shots in the match,
With the win Mechanicville moves to 7-1 on the year.
Tamarac 7 Cambridge/Salem 0
Holding a 1-0 lead at the break, Tamarac scored six unanswered in the second half to pull away to the road “W” over Cambridge/Salem.
Ava Petersen with a hat trick, Zoe Phillips with a pair of goals, and Ryleigh Ogden and Ashlynn Tomaro with single strikes paced the Bengals attack.
Tamarac keeper Lily Onorato combined with the Bengal defense to earn the shutout.
Emma Willard 2 Hoosic Valley 1
In a tight match throughout Emma Willard built a 2-0 lead and held off the Valley to post the narrow victory in Schaghticoke.
Ani Jerian connected on a direct kick in the first half giving the Jesters the 1-0 advantage that they took into intermission.
After the break Emma Willard extended their lead on an unassisted tally from Phoenix Newell.
With 18:00 remaining in the match the Valley drew within one when Mia MacMillen broke through defenders and finished in the low, left corner trimming the Jester lead, but the host squad could draw no closer as the Emma Willard defense sealed the “W”.
Emma Willard keeper Lucy Neidl saved four shots in the victory while Hoosic Valley keeper Lily Ruepp saved seven shots in the match.
Waterford 3 Hoosick Falls 2
In a back-and-forth match in Hoosick Falls on Wednesday that saw multiple lead changes the Fordians scored the final goal of the night late in the second half and held on for the road win.
The two squads traded goals in the first half with Waterford’s Riley Noto striking first and the Falls’ Alivia Criscione answering sending the teams to the break knotted at 1-1.
In the second half Waterford gained the lead on a Kierra Johnson tally that was soon answered when Criscione split the posts with her second scoring strike of the game, tying things at 2-2.
Late in the half the Fordian’s Amelia Fitch connected on the eventual game-winner giving Waterford the well-earned victory.
Waterford 6 Cambridge/Salem 3
The Fordians Dylan Day led all golfers with a round of 42, leading Waterford past C/S in action at Fairways of Halfmoon.
Top scores for Waterford included Landon Pitcher 44, Evan Cavosie 48, and Bradley O’Connor with a round of 53.
Scores for C/S included James Beagle 46, Cody Donisthrope 47, with Connor Genevick and Sawyer Armstrong carding 49’s in the match.
With the win Waterford moves to 5-7-1 on the year while C/S goes to 4-8-1 with the loss.
