The Section II baseball tournament took center stage on Thursday with five Wasaren teams in Class B, and C taking the field in quarterfinal contests. Greenwich, Hoosic Valley and Granville all posted win, while Tamarac and Stillwater season’s ended. Continue reading
Sectional play starts today for Wasaren softball and baseball teams all with sights set on a Section II crown. Continue reading
The Greenwich baseball team needed a win on Thursday in Granville to clinch the Wasaren title and Lukas Whitehouse made it happen. The senior pitcher threw a no-hitter while striking out nine as Greenwich posted an 11-0 victory to claim the league crown with a 13-1 mark.
On the softball side of things Greenwich and Hoosic Valley were both victorious and will share the Wasaren title with identical 12-2 records. Continue reading
