Take Away: The Bengals used a fast start and a good defensive effort in posting the opening round victory in Class B. Next up for Tamarac is a trip to Catskill on Wednesday to face the Cats in quarterfinal action.

Key Stat: The Valley outscored their guests 27-20 after the break.
Take Away: The Indians ride a big second half to the round one win in Class C and advance to face #2 Whitehall in the quarterfinals on Tuesday in Whitehall at 7:30.
Waterford 50 Schoharie 39
Leading Scorers: Fordians – Rachel McOmber 25 Maddy Atwood 17 Indians – Lilly Ballard 19 Savannah Traverse 12
Key Stat: Waterford started and finished well outscoring Schoharie 30-17 in the first and final frames.
Take Away: McOmber and Atwood combine for 42 points leading the Fordians past Schoharie in the opening round in Class C. Waterford advances to a Tuesday night quarterfinal at Duanesburg against the top-seeded Eagles.

Key Stat: Stillwater held the Warriors to single numbers in every period.
Take Away: Stillwater put’s three in doubles and uses a strong defensive outing to cruise past the Warriors of Lake Goerge in the opening round of Class C. The Warriors next will travel to Mayfield on Tuesday to face the #2 Panthers in a quarterfinal matchup.

Leading Scorers: Panthers – Emma Waugh 10 Panthers – Kendall Hayes 12
Key Stat: The Falls scored 19 fourth quarter points, more than half of their game total.
Take Away: Trailing 19-15 entering the final frame, the Falls used an 18-9 fourth to earn the round one “W” in Class CC. Next up for Hoosick Falls is a Tuesday trip to Greenwich and a quarterfinal run with #3 Corinth.

Take Away: After being shutout in the first period and trailing 11-0, the Panthers used a big second quarter to take an 18-16 lead into the break. Stillwater regained the lead in the third and took a 25-23 advantage into the final eight minutes, where the Falls once again came back and posted the well-earned home “W”.
