Boys Hoops; Warriors, Raiders Win in OT

Close games all around on a boys Tuesday night with a pair of contests decided in overtime.

Stillwater 52  Cambridge 48: Jared D’Aloia dropped 32 points to lead Stillwater to the overtime victory over the Indians.  Stillwater led 26-21 at the half but Cambridge outscored the Warriors 13-2 in the third period to take the lead into the final eight minutes where Stillwater came back to force extra minutes. Girls Buckets; Valley Tops Mechanicville in OT

We said here yesterday that the Mechanicville Red Raiders would be a tough out the rest of the way and that certainly was the case last night in a home run with Hoosic Valley, but the Indians are, well the Indians, and they prevailed, outscoring the Raiders in the overtime session to claim the 51 48 victory. Friday Roundup; Valley Girls, Panther Boys Post Wins

When we talked yesterday about the matchups between Hoosick Falls and Hoosic Valley one thing we didn’t discuss is how difficult it is to step on a good team’s home floor and secure a “W”.  Both the Indian girls and Falls boys handled their business at home Friday night in a  pair of games that highlighted a full slate of action in the Wasaren. Girls Basketball Roundup

Tamarac 53  Stillwater 37:  Tamarac built a 37-16 halftime lead and rode that cushion to the easy road win over the Warriors of Stillwater.

Emily Erickson scored 16 points and Hannah Kreiger added 13 for the Bengals who bottomed eight triples on the night.  With the win front running Tamarac improves to 12-1 in league play. Continue reading
