Girls Basketball Roundup


Tamarac 53  Stillwater 37:  Tamarac built a 37-16 halftime lead and rode that cushion to the easy road win over the Warriors of Stillwater.

Emily Erickson scored 16 points and Hannah Kreiger added 13 for the Bengals who bottomed eight triples on the night.  With the win front running Tamarac improves to 12-1 in league play.

Stillwater, (4-8), was led by Marly Muller with 15 points.


Mechanicville 48  Cambridge 35:  Mechanicville pulled away from the Indians over the final two quarters in a game that was deadlocked at 17 heading into halftime.

The Red Raiders placed three in double figures with Charli Goverski scoring 14 points, Julia Amedeo 12, and Amanda Kenyon with 11 points to lead Mechanicville who goes to 9-4 with the “W”.

Cambridge, (2-10), saw Sophie Phillips and Hailey Herrington score seven points each to lead the Indians attack.


Saratoga Catholic 54  Waterford 13:  The Saints held Waterford to single digit in every quarter in posting the one-sided victory over the Fordians.

Emma VanDeCar led all scorers with 16 points, and Kristen Mahar added 12 for Spa Catholic who improve to 3-9 with the win.

Waterford, (0-13), was led by Haley Bodah who scored five points in the contest.


Hoosick Falls 58  Greenwich 37:  The Falls ran out to a 14-2 advantage after the first period and went on to notch the comfortable win over Greenwich.

Kelly Pine with 16 points, and Eliza Whitman and Logan Thayne with 11 points each paced the Panther attack, as Hoosick Falls goes to 11-2 in the Wasaren with the “W”.

Olivia Barnes scored 12 points, with Gabby Wiss and Molly Brophy adding 10 points each to lead the Witches, who fall to 5-7 in league play.
