Boys Basketball; Mechanicville Keep’s Pace

When Hoosick Falls beat Stillwater Friday night they not only helped themselves, but also the Red Raiders of Mechanicville who, like the Falls trailed Stillwater by two games going into Friday’s action.

The Raiders took full advantage of the Stillwater loss by posting a win themselves over a solid Granville squad.

Here’s a quick look at the boys results from the hardwood on a Friday night in the Wasaren.

 

Mechanicville 64  Granville 45

Leading Scorers: Red Raiders – Gio D’Ambro 19   C.J.Tironi 15   Jonathon Pickett 12    Horde Matthew Fuller 11    Morgan Williams 11

Key Stat: In a game that was tied at 22 after two quarters of play, the Raiders out scored Granville 42-23 over the second half to secure the “W”.

Records: Mechanicville 9-2, 12-3     Granville 5-6, 6-11

 

Tamarac 43  Hoosic Valley 30

Leading Scorers: Bengals – Anthony Zotto 10    Indians – Isaac Sanchez 12

Key Stat: Tamarac held the Valley to single digits in three of the four periods in posting the win.

Records: Tamarac 4-7, 6-10   Hoosic Valley 4-7, 6-10

 

Cambridge 54  Greenwich 38

Leading Scorers: Indians – Shawn Lemeiux 19   Kordell Benson 12   Daniel Genevick 11    Witches – George Ostrowski 14    Lukas Whitehouse 11

Key Stat: A 29-12 second half gave the Indians there first league win of the season.

Records: Cambridge 1-10, 5-10    Greenwich 3-9, 4-11
