Each week it’s difficult to choose one player from the league as our Player of the Week, so this week let’s go with two.

Kelly Pine of  Hoosick Falls, and Giovanni D’Ambro of Mechanicville are the co-recipients of the Wasaren Player of the Week.

Pine poured in 18 points in the Falls win over Cambridge and added 12 later in the week in a victory over Stillwater. The junior forward is averaging 13.8 points per game for the first place Panthers.

D’Ambro scored 14 in the Red Raiders 64-52 win over Tamarac, and on Friday his 19 led Mechanicville to a 64-45 “W” over Granville.  The senior guard has heated up in the season’s second half averaging 14.5 over his last nine outings.
