The Cambridge boys and girls teams were in action Monday night playing a pair of non-league contests and the Indians put two in the win column as the girls bested Berlin, while the boys turned back North Warren.
In the girls run Cambridge led 8-6 after the first period, but took control over quarter’s two and three out scoring Berlin 28-6, cruising to the easy “W”.
Olivia Mooney with 16 points, Bridey Nolan with 12, and Helen Mooney with 10 points led the Cambridge attack.
With the win the Indians improve to 11-6 on the year and return to action Wednesday night in a home contest with Mechanicville.
The Cambridge boys ran out to an 8-3 advantage after the first, extended the lead to 21-9 at half, and went on to post the comfortable victory over North Warren.
Kordell Benson scored 17 points and Brenden Holcomb and Daniel Genevick added 12 and 11 points respectively for the 6-11 Indians who have a quick turn around, taking the floor tonight in Mechanicville.
