A full slate of diamond action in the Wasaren on Friday as teams enjoyed sunny skies, dry fields and the chance to “play ball” in league competition. Here’s a breakdown of how it it played out.

Winning Pitcher: Miranda Secord three-hitter
Leading Hitters: Indians – Victoria Dupuis 3-4, 2 RBI’s, Rhiannon Darling 3-4
Key Stat: Victoria Dupuis plated Olivia Brownell with the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh, and Secord made short work of the Raiders in the bottom of the inning, as Cambridge posted the 2-1 “W”.
Greenwich 5 Hoosick Falls 4
Winning Pitcher: Rachel Hall four-hitter, 10 K’s
Leading Hitters: Witches – Rachel Hall 2 2b’s, 2 RBI’s, Sabrina Whitehouse 2 singles, 2b, RBI, Kaylee Ciccarone game-winning RBI single Panthers – Lizzy Ryan 2b, Syd Miller 2b
Key Stat: In the bottom of the seventh Sabrina Whitehouse beat out an infield hit, advanced to third on an errant throw, and scored on a clutch single by Kaylee Ciccarone giving the Witches the 5-4 victory.
Tamarac 13 Stillwater 3
Winning Pitcher: Jess Rehbun four-hitter 3 K’s
Leading Hitters: Bengals – McKenna Ryan 3b, Jordan Nitz 2 singles, Warriors – Danika Svendsen 3b
Key Stat: Tamarac hung a 5 spot in the first, built a 10-0 lead after four frames and coasted to the win.
Baseball
Hoosic Valley 11 Granville 4
Winning Pitcher: Dan Snyder
Leading Hitters: Valley – Tom Madigan 2-4, 2b, Matt Espey 2-4, Dan Joslin 2b Horde – Bailey Daigle 2-4, Ethan Patch 2-4, Zak Vandeminden 2-4
Key Stat: Holding a 6-3 lead through six innings of play, the Valley scored five times in the seventh to seal the victory over the Golden Horde.
Greenwich 9 Hoosick Falls 0
Winning Pitcher: Lukas Whitehouse 3-hit shutout, 14 K’s
Leading Hitters: Witches – Brendan Stout 2-2, 2 RBI’s, Carson Mosher 2-4, RBI Falls- Alex Mendez 1-3, sb
Key Stat: Greenwich scored four in the bottom of the first, and on this day Whitehouse needed just one as he shut down the Panthers in a dominating performance from the hill.
