Valley Moves On, Greenwich Falls

In Class C Greenwich’s season ended in a 7-2 loss to Maple Hill, while in the B’s Hoosic Valley bested top seeded Cohoes 4-2 advancing to the championship game on Friday. Continue reading →

When we previewed the Section II tournament a week ago I thought both Greenwich and Hoosic Valley baseball teams would be in the finals in their respective classes.  Certainly not a long shot prediction as the Valley is the #1 seed in Class B, while Greenwich holds the same spot in Class C. Valley Moves On, Madigan Delivers Game-Winner

On an afternoon where Hoosic Valley had missed out on some scoring chances the Indians Ashley Madigan wasn’t going to let that happen again.  Madigan delivered a clutch  single in the bottom of the seventh scoring Katrina Dean with the game winner, as Hoosic Valley prevailed 4-3 over Chatham in Class B quarterfinal softball action.
