Stillwater 4 Mechanicville 1: In an early season get together between two undefeated sqauads, Stillwater scored a pair of goals in each half and posted the comfortable win over their neighboring rivals.
The Warriors Brooke Pickett scored twice in the first half and staked Stillwater to a 2-0 lead at the break.
Kate McEvoy, and Devon Wagner found the range in the second half for Stillwater before Mechanicville got on the board with a strike from Mackenzie Bowie to end the scoring on the afternoon.
Both keepers had busy days between the posts with Mechanicville’s Lauren Claeys saving 16 shots, and the Warriors Danika Svendsen saving 13.
With the win Stillwater improves to 7-0 on the year, while Mechanicville goes to 4-1-1 with the loss.
