The first night of league play after the long holiday break gave us a pair of blowout wins, and two competitive runs in girls action on Tuesday.

Tamarac 66  Waterford 11

Leading Scorers: Bengals – Emily Erickson 12    Hannah Kreiger 10    Renna Poulin 10

Key To The Win: Tamarac put 29 points on the board in the first eight minutes taking a 29-7 advantage after one, and coasted the rest of the way over the Fordians.

 

Greenwich 63   Saratoga Catholic 30

Leading Scorers: Witches – Olivia Barnes 21   Gabby Wiss 12   Sabrina Whitehouse 14      Saints – Marielle Shaw 10

Key To The Win: The Witches won every quarter, placed three players in doubles, and used a 23-8 second period to take control.

 

Hoosic Valley 51  Mechanicville 40

Leading Scorers: Valley – Alex Rifenburg 12   Cami Hren 11    Red Raiders – Sammy Pasinella 14   Amanda Kenyon 13

Key To The Win: The Valley started and finished well outscoring the Raiders a combined 24-13 in the first and last periods, in a game that the Indians led 36-31 entering the final eight minutes.

 

Stillwater 44  Cambridge 38

Leading Scorers: Warriors – Danika Svendsen 15    Natalie Menneto 14    Indians – Grace Snyder 9

Key To The Win: Stillwater needed a 10-3 final period to claim the come from behind victory on the road over the Indians.
