Three league teams were in action on Wednesday with Saratoga Catholic playing in the Class B baseball final, while Hoosic Valley and Greenwich took the field in Class C softball semifinals.
The Saints and Witches, top seeds in their respective classifications, and the Indians playing as well as anyone of late, all poised to take the next step in the sectional tournament.
But on this day their sectional runs came to an end with all three squads falling in season-ending losses.
