With the regular season in high school golf nearing it’s midpoint, three teams at or near the top of the Wasaren standings posted wins on Wednesday, with two coming in convincing fashion.
Greenwich 5 Cambridge 0: Reed Boduch fired a one under 34, taking medalist honors and leading Greenwich to the shutout victory over the Indians in a match played at the Battenkill Country Club on Wednesday.
Mason Williamson, Jake Owens, Dawson Polley and Darren Pemrick completed the sweep all posting wins for the Witches who move to 6-1 on the year with the “W”.
Saratoga Catholic 5 Waterford 0: Ben Scammell carded a 37 for the low round of the match, as the Saints blanked the Fordians in action at Fairways of Halfmoon.
Terel Tillman, Jay Flynn, Jake Welcome and Garrett Flynn joined Scammell in the winner’s circle for the 4-1 Spa Catholic squad.
Tamarac 3 Mechanicville 2: In a close match played at Frear Park in Troy, flights 3 and 4 ended deadlocked but the Bengals’ Will Ashley and Nate Krill secured “W’s” in flights 1 and 5 which proved just enough for the victory.
Tamarac’s Zack Krill and Mechanicville’s Jack Nimmons tied in the third flight as did Bengal Jacob Swanson and Raider Joe Manzer in flight 4.
Nicholas Amodeo notched a win in flight 2 for Mechanicville.
