The highly touted Warriors of Stillwater spotted Hoosick Falls a 6-0 lead after twelve minutes of play on Friday night, but scored 28 unanswered over the final three periods in posting the 28-6 win over the Panthers.
Panthers quarterback Sam Richard put the Falls in front on a 19 yard touchdown run in the first period.
Early in the second, Sean Kane found Dan Morris for a 2-yard touchdown and a Mason Seymour run for the two point conversion gave Stillwater the lead at 8-6, a lead that took the teams to the halftime break.
After intermission Kane hooked up with James Galarneau on a 14-yard scoring strike and later in the period a 90 yard touchdown run by Morris gave the Warriors control at 20-6.
Kane completed the scoring on the night with a 1-yard TD run in the final quarter as Stillwater put win number three in the books and looks to next Friday night when they’ll host Fonda.
Hoosick Falls slips to 2-1 on the year and will look to get back on track next weekend when they take on Holy Trinity.
Chatham 41 Tamarac 0: Junior quarterback Kaleb Taylor threw for a pair of scores and ran for another to lead Chatham to the shutout victory over the Bengals of Tamarac.
Senior running back Hayden Spock added a pair of rushing touchdowns for Chatham who led 21 – 0 at half and cruised from there.
