Girls Soccer; Raiders, Warriors Post Wins

Mechanicville 6  Emma Willard 2:  The Red Raiders, in control with a 2-0 advantage at the half went to cruise control after the break, scoring four times in notching the dominant “W” over Emma Willard.

Mackenzie Bowie with four goals and Brynn Murphy with a pair of scores led the 6-0-1 Red Raiders.

 

Waterford 1  Greenwich 0: A first half strike from Annelise Rebel was all the Fordians needed in notching the win over the Witches of Greenwich.

Emily Kelley and the Waterford defense did the rest with Kelley turning back 13 shots for the shutout victory.

 

Stillwater 5  Hoosic Valley 1:  The Warriors scored early and often ringing the bell five times before intermission in rolling over the Valley in Schaghticoke on Wednesday.

Brooke Pickett’s hat trick led Stillwater with Teya Staie and Devon Wagner adding single goals for the Warriors who with the win improve to 8-1 on the season.

 

Cambridge 4  Tamarac 1:  After the scoreless first half the Indians found the range four times after the break and came away with the win over the Bengals from Clums Corners.

Miranda Seacord and Taylor Stallmer both netted a pair of goals to pace Cambridge who’s enjoying a nice start to the season at 5-2.

Tamarac with the loss drops to 4-3 on the year.

 

Hoosick Falls 6  Berlin 0:  Taylor Mann found the back of the net three times, and Samantha Flohr, Angela Gonzalez and Phobe Thompson with single tallies led the Panthers to the one-sided win over Berlin.

Maddy Yeung needed just two saves to earn the shutout for the Falls while Berlin keeper Haley Maxon under siege all afternoon stopped 17 shots in the match.
