The young and talented Stillwater Warriors will be making their first ever appearance in a Section II title game, courtesy of their 50-30 victory over Hoosick Falls in a Class C semifinal Friday night in Stillwater.
The Warriors moved the ball to the tune of 450 yards of total offense with a trio of sophomores leading the way.
Sophomore Quarterback James Galarneau ran for 144 yards and four touchdowns, and threw for 108 yards and a score while classmate Les Lescault ran for 90 yards, caught two balls for 56 yards and a touchdown, and returned a kickoff 55 yards as well.
Sophomore running back Mason Seymour added 93 yards rushing with a pair of touchdowns for Stillwater who held a 22-16 lead with :30 left in the first half when Galarneau scored on a fourth and goal from the Panther 10-yard line giving the Warriors a 28-16 advantage at the half.
Stillwater kept the Falls off the board in the third period adding six points themselves on a Seymour run, and closed things out over the remaining 12 minutes, punching their ticket to the Class C Super Bowl next weekend in Lansingburgh.
Hoosick Falls quarterback Sam Richard connected with Fred Isaac for a pair of touchdowns, and ran for two more leading the Panthers, who finish a fine season with a 5-4 overall mark.
Schalmont 2 Mechanicville 0: In the Class B title game, Schalmont scored single goals in each half and posted the shutout victory over the Red Raiders to secure the Class B crown.
Jules Monlea and Davia Rossi provided the offense for Schalmont and Eden Messemer with 12 saves earned the shutout for Schalmont who advances to regional play next week.
Mechanicville finishes their outstanding season with an 18-1-1 overall mark.
