While most high school basketball teams await their season-opener the Warriors of Stillwater have come out of the blocks quickly, already owning a pair of wins the second coming Saturday night in a 61-50 decision over Galway.
Saratoga Catholic also won twice over the weekend, last night besting Mayfield 64-48 in the title game of the Mike Beson Tournament.
The Spa Catholic girls were also in action on Saturday dropping a 54-26 verdict to Warrensburg on the girls side of the Mike Beson Tourament.

Stillwater 61 Galway 50: The Warriors owned the middle two periods out scoring Galway 40-25 to gain control and notch their second “W” in as many nights.
Cooper Monast led the Stillwater attack with 18 points including three triples, while teammates Scott Travis with 12 and Brian McNeil with 11 points rounded out the trio of Warriors in doubles.
Thor White with 18 points and Mike Sowle with 14 led Galway.
Saratoga Catholic 64 Mayfield 48: Tournament MVP Tyler Haraden scored 20 points to lead the Saints to the victory in the championship game of the Mike Beson Tournament.
Sam Haraden and Aiden Dagostino scored 12 and 10 points respectively for a Saints offense that scored 41 points over the middle two periods.
Trevor Gifford scored a game-high 23 points for Mayfield.
Warrensburg 54 Spa Catholic 26: Warrensburg ran away in the second half owning a 35-10 advantage after the break in capturing the girls championship in the Mike Beson Tournament.
Hope Boland and Abigail Smith with 10 points each led the Burghers attack.
Ani Crocker with nine points paced the Saints.
