Tamarac Clinches Hudson Division

In what was a good race for the softball crown in the Hudson division of the Wasaren, the Bengals of Tamarac earned the title with a 6-3 victory over Greenwich on Monday afternoon.

Winning Pitcher:  Maggie Kelley  5 Hits  4 K’s

Leading Hitters:  Bengals – McKenna Ryan 2-4      Gianna Bucciero 3-3      Jess Heinrichs 2B Witches – Mackenzie Moy HR      Jennifer Wilbur HR

The Bengals scored four times in the top of the fourth to take a 6-1 lead and held off the Witches to claim the title.

Winning Pitcher:  Nick Santiago

Leading Hitters:  Indians – Isaac Carlo 2-4, HR, 2 RBI’s      Brandon Haughney 2-4, RBI      Justin Sawyer 2-4, RBI        Bengals – Tristan Nemjo 3-3, 2B, HR, 3 RBI’s       Jake Scharnott 2-4, 3B,

Tied at 6-6 through five frames, the Valley pushed across the eventual winning run in the top of the sixth, to earn the narrow “W” over Tamarac.  With the win the Indians improve to 10-4, 12-5 on the season.

Winning Pitcher:  Kaedin Ogilvie 3 IP  0 Runs  5 K’s

Leading Hitters:  Indians – Kyle Spiezio 3 1B’s       Nate Genevick 2 !b’s, 3 RBI’s          Daniel Maguire 1B, 2 RBI’s         Brenden Holcomb 2B

A five-run first set the tone for the easy Indians victory.

Winning Pitcher:  Jacob LaFountain

Leading Hitters:  Red Raiders – Jacob LaFountain 4-5, 4 RBI’s, steal of home      Matthew Wertman 4-5, 2 RBI’s      Nick Billert 3-5, 4 RBI’s            Falls – Max Kipp 1-3       Ryan Landry 2-3

The Raiders put a 10-spot on the board in the fourth and cruised from there in posting the “W” over the Falls.
