Tamarac 32 Cohoes 8: The Bengals Peyton Nelean ran for 92 yards and two scores to lead Tamarac past Cohoes in the season-opener.
Bengal quarterback Bo Catherwood threw scoring strikes of 1 and 36 yards to Frank Zotto, and Spencer Yetto added an 8-yard TD run for Tamarac who led 32-0 at the break.
Mechanicville 6 Greenwich 0: Mechanicville’s quarterback Dan Motta scored the games only points on a 6-yard touchdown run in the final period as the Red Raiders notched the “W” in the week one defensive battle.
The two teams combined for just 305 yards in the contest.
The big play of the night came when Rader receiver Ryan Roberts took a handoff for what looked to be a reverse but instead Roberts connected on a 41 yard pass play to Kyle Scott setting up the Motta touchdown.
Motta finished the night with 82 rushing yards, while Greenwich quarterback Luke Pemrick gained 50 yards on the ground before leaving the game in the second half with an injury.

Stillwater 8 Greenwich 1: For the second time this season the Warriors scored five times before the break with five different players ringing the bell.
Brook Pickett, Devon Wagner, Kate McEvoy, Keelyn Peacock and Quinn Lilac all found the range as Stillwater led 5-0 at half and cruised home with their fourth win in as many outings.
Pickett added a pair of goals after halftime while McEvoy scored her second goal of the match for a Stillwater squad that has outscored their opponents 26-4 over their first four games.
Lucia D’Acchille got Greenwich on the board with a score late in the half.
Tamarac 10 Waterford 3: Haley Honsinger scored four goals and teammate Brean Eversten added a pair of scores to lead Tamarac to the easy victory over the Fordians of Waterford.
Tamarac’s Sophia Champagne, Jenna Hunt, Isabella Bisceglia and Shannon Ryan all found the back of the net as well in the Bengal victory,
The Fordians Annelise Rebel connected for all three Waterford goals in the match.
