When talking about the strength of Class C football teams this year let’s not forget to add the Panthers of Hoosick Falls to the list. After a so-so season by Hoosick Falls standards last year the Falls opened in style posting a 52-32 “W” over the Railroaders with Max Kipp having a nice season on a Saturday afternoon on Whitehall.
Kipp rushed for 201 yards and five touchdowns and why not, a 98 yard kickoff return as well leading the Panthers to the comfortable win. The junior back ran it in from 18, 66, 3, 35 and 9 yards out, to go with the return score that covered 98.
Liam McGarvin added 111 yards on the ground with a touchdown for the Falls which led 21-0 at the quarter break.
Leading Whitehall was quarterback Jake Moore who ran for 149 yards and scored a touchdown on the ground and through the air, connecting with Tyler Shattuck just before halftime.
