Cambridge-Salem 57  Hoosick Falls 31:  The matchup between a pair of unbeaten Class C teams saw Cambridge in control throughout as the Indians jumped out to a 24-6 lead early in the second period, extended their advantage to 28-18 at the half and cruised home with their third win of the season.

Tyler Linendoll rushed for 213 yards and five touchdowns and Tommy English added 157 yards with three scores to pace the Cambridge-Salem attack.  


Whitehall 40  Hoosic Valley 20:  Jake Moore ran for 144 yards and a touchdown, and Brendon Cover rushed for 98 yards with two scores to lead the Railroaders past the Valley.

Freshman quarterback Brandon Bakerian added touchdown runs of one and 37 yards for Whitehall who led 28-7 at the break.

Will Schofield ran for 77 yards and a touchdown and Valley quarterback Ethan Caiazza rushed for 78 yards and a score to lead the Indians.


Stillwater 49  Fonda 14:  The Warriors posted their third straight “W” with yet another  dominant performance, this one under the lights at Fonda.

Mason Seymour rushed for 209 yards on 24 carries with a pair of touchdowns, and Warrior quarterback James Galarneau added 124 yards on the ground with two TD’s to lead Stillwater.

Luc Lescault ran for 97 yards and two scores, and Joe Conti with 66 yards and a touchdown rounded out the scoring for the Warriors who will look to extend their winning streak to four when they play host to Corinth on Friday.

Girls Soccer

Stillwater 3  Mechanicville 1:  After a scoreless first half the Warriors found the range with three scores after the break to get past Mechanicville.

At the 44:04 mark Cassidy Sheehan put Stillwater on the board with an unassisted goal, and four minutes later Kate McEvoy took a feed from Brooke Pickett and found the back of the net for a 2-0 Stillwater lead.

Nevaeh D’Aloia cut the deficit in half with a strike at the 63:58 mark for the Red Raiders but that was as close as Mechanicville would get as Teya Staie closed out the scoring with a goal late in the half for the Warriors.


Hoosic Valley 5  Greenwich 2:  Leigh Henkel scored a pair of goals and Sami Dickinson, Zoe Neary and Lauren Reed all added single strikes as the Valley turned back the Witches of Greenwich.


Tamarac 2  Emma Willard 1:  Shannon Ryan provided all the Bengals scoring, finding the range twice to lead Tamarac to the nonleague victory over Emma Willard.



Greenwich 5  Hoosic Valley 0:  In a match played at the Battenkill Country Club Reed Boduch carded the low round of 36 leading the Witches to the sweep of Hoosic Valley.

Jake Owens, Mason Williamson, Tyler Ziehm and Grant Peck all notched individual wins for Greenwich on the day who with the victory improves to 9-2 on the season.


Saratoga Catholic 5  Stillwater 0:  The Saints shutout Stillwater in action at Saratoga Spa Park on Friday with Terel Tillman’s round of 37 leading the way for Spa Catholic.

Joining Tillman in the winner’s circle were teammates Jake Welcome, Jack Constantino, Dylan Mulholland and Ronan Loftus-Graney as the Saints move to 9-2 on the year with the “W”.


Hoosick Falls 4  Waterford 1:  In a match played at the Hoosick Falls Country Club the Panthers posted wins in flights 1-4 to earn the victory and stay undefeated notching their 11th win in as many outings.

Ryan Bloomer, Matt Smith, Miles Smith and Brady Hathaway earned wins for the Falls with Waterford’s Christian Weatherby winning a point in the flight five match for the Fordians.
