The regular season for boys soccer wrapped up on Wednesday and the Red Raiders of Mechanicville picked up win number 13 to finish undefeated in league play.  Mechanicville sits atop the Hudson division in the Wasaren and will face off for the league title with the Battenkill division winner, Waterford, on Saturday.

Mechanicville 9  Tamarac 2:  Jeff Luce and Chris Ciccarelli both scored hat tricks to lead the Raiders past Tamarac.

John Pingelski, Jake Cavert and Kevin Charette all added scoring strikes while Marcus Tobin had four assists in the match for the 13-0, 14-1 Mechanicville squad.

Max Ali and Alex Bassey tallied for the Bengals.

 

Hoosic Valley 4  Berlin 0:  Connor Tompkins scored two goals and Bailey Tompkins and Isaac Carlo added single goals for the Valley in the shutout “W” over the Mountaineers.

 

Waterford 5  Saratoga Catholic 1:  The Fordians jumped out to a 3-0 advantage at the break and coasted to the comfortable victory over the Saints.

Tyler Galarneau and Hunter Guertin with two goals each, and Jaycen Janusz with a single strike led Waterford as the Fordians with the win move to 9-2-2, 10-3-2 on the year.

Jack Munn with got Spa Catholic on the board in the match with a second half connection.

 

Stillwater 2  Cambridge 0:  First half goals from Grant Baker and Scott Travis was more than enough offense for the Warriors who post the shutout over the Indians of Cambridge.

Stillwater keeper Tim Buchal saved six shots and combined with the Warrior defense for the shutout.  With the win Stillwater improves to 9-4, 11-4 on the year while Cambridge slips to 6-5-2, 7-5-2 with the loss.

 

Greenwich 2  Hoosick Falls 1:  Raffaele Wyss and Charlie Gartner found the range for the Witches as they notch the road win over the Panthers of Hoosick Falls.

Conner Jones scored after the break for the Falls who see their mark at 2-11, 4-11 while Greenwich heads into crossover Saturday at 6-5-2, 7-6-2.
