The Wasaren girls regular season wrapped up on Saturday in Mechanicville with a full day of crossover games and the championship match between Stillwater and Hoosic Valley.
Stillwater 4 Hoosic Valley 1: The Warriors complete an undefeated regular season by capturing the Wasaren title with the win over Hoosic Valley.
Brooke Pickett connected on all four goals to lead the Warriors who with the win move to 15-0-1 and now prepare for a deep post season run.
Casey Bugbee scored the lone goal for the Indians who wrap the regular season at 11-4-1 and will be a tough out in the upcoming Section II tournament.
Cambridge 1 Mechanicville 0: Lily Phillips scored a first half goal off a Rhiannon Darling find, and the Indians defense shut down the Red Raiders attack to notch the victory in crossover action on Saturday.
Cambridge keeper Brecke Gifford saved 10 shots and combined with the Indians “D” to earn the shutout and move the Cambridge mark to 9-5-1.
Mechanicville slips to 10-3-1 with the loss.
Tamarac 3 Waterford 0: Haley Honsinger, Lauren Hunt and Isabella Bisceglia all found the range with goals to lead the Bengals past the Fordians of Waterford in crossover action.
KC Champagne saved two for the shutout as Tamarac with the win improves to 10-4-1 on the year.
Waterford falls to 6-10 with the loss.
Hoosick Falls 6 Saratoga Catholic 0: Six different Panthers found the back of the net in the shutout over the Saints.
Zoey Baker, Faith Adamczemto, Sky Haynes, Ally Hoag, Allison Perry and Phobe Thompson all connected with goals and Panther keeper Maddy Yeung saved two shots to post the shutout.
