In a Class C quarterfinal Finkle’s single plated Ariyana Brehm with the game-winner and the Valley advances to the semifinals on Thursday at Moreau Rec where they’ll face top seeded Chatham at 3 p.m.

A seven run fourth, gave the Witches a 9-3 advantage, a cushion they rode to the win and a Thursday semifinal matchup with the Warriors of Lake George at 3 p.m. at Moreau Rec.

Lake George jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two frames, more then enough run support for Jaeger who spins the shutout.

Butler carried a no-hitter into the seventh, leading Fort Plain to the Class C semifinal win, the 19th straight for the Hilltoppers who will face Hoosick Falls in the C Finals.

Winning Pitcher:  Evan Webster  7 IP  3 Hits  4 K’s

Leading Hitters – Falls – Cody Hodges RBI

Hoosick Falls scored both runs in the first on a balk and a Hodges’ RBI on a fielder’s choice, and Webster and the Falls defense did the rest as the 13th seeded Panthers slip past top-seeded Chatham and move on to the C Finals and a date with Schuylerville.

Behind yet another strong pitching performance by LaFountain the Raiders advance to the Class B finals on Friday night at Joe Bruno Stadium, where they’ll take on the Black Horses of Schuylerville in a 7 p.m. start.
