Whitehall 35  Hoosic Valley 12:  Tyler Shattuck with a rushing and receiving touchdown and 137 yards on the ground led the Railroaders to the comfortable win over the Valley.

Whitehall led 23-0 at the half and extended their lead to 29-0 before the Indians got on the board in the third on a Gavin Giordano scoring run from 10 yards out.

Ethan Caiazza added a 75-yard kickoff return in the fourth period for Hoosic Valley’s second touchdown.

 

Corinth 20  Hoosick Falls 12:  In a back and forth season-opener, Corinth scored the final 14 points of the contest to post the come-from-behind victory over the Panthers in Hoosick Falls Friday night.

After a Will Denton punt block and return for a touchdown gave the Tomahawks an early 6-0 advantage, the Falls responded on first half scoring runs of 54 yards by Max Kipp and a one-yard plunge by Liam McGarvin to take a 12-6 lead into the break.

After a Corinth safety trimmed the deficit to 12-8 late in the third, a pair of Gabe Allen rushing TD’s in the final period completed the comeback “W” for the Tomahawks.

 

Cambridge/Salem 26  Greenwich 14:  With Greenwich leading 14-12 after one quarter of play the Indians defense stepped up, shutting down the Witches the rest of the way fueling the Cambridge/Salem win over their rivals in Greenwich Friday night.

Kaedin Ogilvie with 131 yards and two TD’s, and Calvin Schneider 97 yards and a score, led the Indians ground attack that ran for 352 yards on 49 carries in the game.

A Jesse Kuzmich 28-yard scoring strike to Luke Pemrick and a 12-yard touchdown run by Chris Albrecht accounted for the Witches 14 point first stanza, before the Indians “D” closed the door forcing numerous stops, a pair of interceptions and a fumble recovery the rest of the way.
