Mechanicville 2 Stillwater 1 OT: In the ninth annual Indian Cup game in Stillwater Thursday night, the two teams needed extra time to decide things, and that decision came when Andrew Kraszewski found the back of the net in the first overtime, giving Mechanicville the victory in the match between neighboring rivals.
The Raiders broke on top when Tyler Tesoriero found Kraszewski for a first half score, with his shot deflecting off a Stillwater defenseman and splitting the posts.
After the break the Warriors’ Grant Baker found the range off a Harry Rubenstein find, to tie the match with 25:00 remaining.
In the first overtime Kraszewski took a feed from Zac Rapaccioulo and finished the game-winner, giving the Raiders the exciting “W”.
With the win Mechanicville moves to 1-0, 2-1, while Stillwater goes to 0-1, 3-1 on the young season.
Greenwich 2 Cambridge 0: After a scoreless first half, the Witches Al Rymph and Connor Smith connected on scoring strikes and Greenwich keeper Andres Gonzalez (3 saves), and the Witches “D” combined for the shutout in Cambridge on Thursday.
Greenwich improves to 1-0, 5-0 on the year with the “W”, while Cambridge moves to 0-1, 2-2 with the loss.
Waterford 4 Spa Catholic 0: The Fordians exploded with four goals after the break, notching the victory over the Saints of Spa Catholic.
Tyler Galarneau and Nate Powell connected for two goals each, and Tyler Houle with six saves earned the shutout for the 1-0, 3-0 Fordians.

Hoosick Falls 4 Cambridge 1: The Panthers swept flights 2-5 in picking up the win over Cambridge at the Hoosick Falls Country Club in Thursday.
Allison Hathaway, Mat Smith, Miles Smith and Brady Hathaway all earned individual wins for the Falls, while Cambridge’s Ben Epler won his flight one match, firing a round of 36 to claim medalist honors.
