Wednesday in Mechanicville, it was just another day at the office for the Stillwater girls soccer team. The Warriors, who have dominated opponents for the better part of three seasons posted a 6-2 “W” over Voorheesville in the Class C championship game and the decision was never in doubt.
Stillwater, on a pair of Brooke Pickett goals and a single tally from Keelyn Peacock, took a 3-0 advantage into the break.
The Warriors added the first two scores of the second half to their cushion, on scoring strikes from Devon Wagner and Lily Tanner and cruised from there.
Voorheesville avoided the shutout with second half tallies from Jenny Bogart and Amanda Gillenwater, while Pickett added her third goal of the match to round out the scoring.
With the win Stillwater improves to 18-0-2 on the year, and the defending state champion Warriors move onto regional play, continuing their quest for back to back state titles.
