In a low scoring affair the Black Horses used a 19-7 fourth period to get past the Warriors and notch the road victory.

Deadlocked at 19-19 after the first eight minutes, Waterford outscored their guests 37-16 over the middle two frames to earn the comfortable win, their fourth in as many outings to open the season.

Saratoga Catholic 52 Corinth 34

The Saints dominated the second half outscoring their hosts 31-9 to break open what was a close run at the break, and earn the “W”.

Hoosick Falls 60 Greenwich 57

Leading Scorers: Falls – Jake Sparks 26 Connor Jones 14 Dylan Baker 11 Witches – Jesse Kuzmich 32 (4 3’s) Jacob Blair 15

The Panthers, who faced a 22-9 deficit after the first period, outscored the Witches in each of the remaining quarters to post the come-from-behind victory over Greenwich in the season-opener for both squads.

The Saints held Corinth to single numbers in each of the last three periods in posting the home win over the Tomahawks.

Cambridge 84 Duanesburg 49

Leading Scorers: Indians – Sophie Phillips 27 Lilly Phillips 23 Schuyler Nolan 10 Duanesburg – Allison O’Hanlon 19 Hannah Mulhern 11

In their season opener Cambridge started fast, scoring 48 first half points on their way to the easy “W” over Duanesburg. The Indians bottomed 10 triples, and placed nine players in the scoring column, led by the Phillips sisters who combined for 50.

Greenwich 80 Hoosick Falls 26

Leading Scorers: Witches – Molly Brophy 25 Adrianna Rojas 18 Mora NIesz 14 Panthers – Marley McLellan 8

The Witches won every quarter, cruising to the easy road win over the Panthers in their season-opener.
