Waterford 9 Hoosic Valley 1: The Fordians scored five times before the break, and cruised past the visitors from Schaghticoke, under the lights in Waterford on Tuesday.
Waterford, averaging nearly seven goals per contest, had three players with multiple tallies in the match. Addyson Galuski connected for a hat trick, Sophia Belonga and Natalie Rich finished twice each, while Cassidy McClement and Sage Grennon added single strikes.
Waterford keepers Maddy Atwood with five saves and Imani Bloomfield with two saves anchored the Fordian “D” that is allowing less than one goal per match this season.
With the “W”, Waterford stays perfect, moving to 14-0 on the year.
Mechanicville 3 Stillwater 0: The Raiders built a 2-0 advantage by halftime, and added an insurance goal after the break in notching the road win over Stillwater.
Anna Izzo opened the scoring in the 14th minute off a Nevaeh D’Aloia feed, and five minutes later Meghan DiSiena finished another D’Aloia find for the 2-0 cushion.
After intermission D’Aloia found the back of the net with an unassisted strike to wrap the Mechanicville scoring in the match.
Red Raider keeper Olivia Horan, two saves, combined with the Mechanicville defense for the clean sheet.
Stillwater keeper Mia Corraro denied 14 shots in defeat.
Hoosick Falls 2 Tamarac 1: The Panthers Ava Salvesvold scored the game-winner in the 78th minute, giving the visitors from Hoosick Falls the well-earned victory over Tamarac.
The Falls held a 1-0 lead at the break, courtesy of a Rylie Niles scoring strike in the 28th minute.
But the Bengals tied things midway through the second half when Abby Buckley found Sophia Champagne, who finished for the 1-1 deadlock, setting up the difference-maker from Salvesvold.
Panther keeper Olivia Estes saved 12 shots in the match while her counterpart Ragan Retell turned back nine shots for the Bengals.
