Key Stat:  With the Valley holding a 24-22 edge at the break, Stillwater used a 25-13 third period to build a double digit advantage. 

Take Away:  Both teams shot it well from deep with each squad connecting on 10 triples, led by the Warriors McDonough, and the Valley’s Eckler who bottomed six apiece. 

 

Hoosick Falls 58  Waterford 46

Leading Scorers:  Falls – Jake Sparks 17   Dylan Baker 12   Connor Jones 11    Fordians –  Howard Phelan 16   Connor Kennedy 15

Key Stat:  The Falls put three players in doubles with Tucker Thayne adding eight points in a balanced Panthers attack.

Take Away:  Trailing 17-10 midway through the second period, the Falls outscored Waterford 48-29 the rest of the way in posting the road win.

 

Greenwich 81  Cambridge 34

Leading Scorers:  Witches – Jesse Kuzmich 23   Jacob Ziehm 15   Deontae Bennett 15    Cambridge – Richer 10

Key Stat:  Greenwich ran out to a 24-5 advantage after the first eight minutes,

Take Away:  The Witches won every quarter, put nine players in the scoring column, and rolled to their first win of the year.  

 

Girls

Hoosick Falls 66  Waterford 33

Leading Scorers:  Falls – Amber MacNeil 19   Lyric Kriner 12   Mackenna Roberson 10   Fordians – Sophia Belonga 14

Key Stat:  A 17-2 first period gave the Panthers control early.

Take Away:  The Falls built a 37-12 halftime lead, put three players in doubles, and saw eight players score in the comfortable home “W”.

 

Greenwich 56  Cambridge 40

Leading Scorers:  Witches – Adrianna Rojas 15   Norah Niesz 15   Grace Autiello 12    Cambridge – Stasia Epler 25

Key Stat:  Greenwich held a 15-2 advantage in made free throws.

Take Away:  Greenwich owned a 19-10 lead thru one, and after the teams played evenly over the middle two frames, the Witches closed with a 13-5 final period for the road victory.
