Friday Results from the Diamonds: Raiders Bengals Split

Hitting Stars:  Bengals – Addie Ferris 2-3            Toni DeLorenzo 1-4, 2 RBI’s, game winning RBI single             Red Raiders – Lila Christensen 2B, RBI

Take Away:  Toni DeLorenzo ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning breaking a 1-1 deadlock, and Collins and the Tamarac defense closed things out in the bottom of the frame to earn the narrow road “W” over the Raiders.  Both Collins and Rogers were dominant from the circle allowing just six hits combined on the afternoon.  With the win Tamarac stays perfect on the season at 7-0, 9-0.

WP:  Chris Couser 7 IP 5 Hits 6 Runs 5 ER 8 K’s                             LP:  L. Ring 3 IP 12 Hits 10 Runs 9 ER 1 BB 3 K’s

Hitting Stars:  Raiders – Will Coreno 2-6, 2B, HR, RBI        Scott Lynch 5-6, RBI          Colon Richardson 3-5, 2B, RBI    R. Dyer 1-2, 2B, 2 RBI;s                           Bengals – Tyler Sears 1-2, 3 RBI’s   

Take Away:  The Raiders ran out to a 10-1 lead after three innings and coasted to the one-sided, road win over Tamarac.  Mechanicville’s lineup produced 18 hits with five Raiders enjoying multiple hit games. 

 

Hoosick Falls 27   Berlin/New Lebanon 2

Hitting Stars:  Falls – Jake Sparks 1B, 2B, HR, 4 RBI’s             Ryan Sparks 3 1B’s, 2B, 5 RBI’s           

Take Away:  The Panthers hung crooked numbers in each of the first five innings, rolling over the Mountaineers Friday afternoon in Hoosick Falls.  With the victory the Falls moves to 6-7, 7-8 on the season.
