Take Away: In a back-and-forth opening round game in Class C, Waterford jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings but the Valley knotted things at 5-5 with a two-run third and a three-run fifth. The score remained tied heading into the ninth frame where the Fordians plated three and then had to hold off the Valley who scored twice before Waterford escaped with the extra inning decision.

Take Away: Berne-Knox took a 2-0 advantage into the fifth, before Stillwater tied things with single runs in the fifth and sixth innings setting up a two-run seventh highlighted by LoFranco’s go-ahead, RBI single and Murray retired the side in the bottom half for the come-from-behind “W” in Class C.
