Key Stat:  The only period Tamarac won was a 17-7 second frame.  

Take Away:  In a defensive battle, close throughout the Bengals led 22-16 at halftime and held on for the home victory, moving to 3-0, 3-1 on the season. 

Waterford 49   Berlin/New Lebanon 16

Leading Scorers:  Fordians – Maddy Atwood 16      Izzy Vecchio 12      Rachel McOmber 19        Mountaineers – McKenzie Krause 5

Key Stat:  Waterford held the Mountaineers to single numbers in every quarter.

Take Away:  The Fordians put three in doubles and shut down the Berlin/New Lebanon attack in moving to 4-3 on the year with the home “W”.   

Stillwater 55   Saratoga Catholic 18

Leading Scorers:  Warriors – Addison Thornton 19  5 3’s        Saints – Addison Whitbeck 8

Key Stat:  Stillwater held a 9-0 advantage in made threes.  

Take Away:  The Warriors cruised holding the Saints to 18 total points while scoring 21 points themselves in the first period.  With the road win Stillwater improves to 2-2, 2-3 on the season.  

Cambridge 53   Hoosic Valley 23

Leading Scorers:  Cambridge – Schuylar Nolan 22  3 3’s      Sam Crandall 15  3 3’s      Tristan Crandall 10         Indians – Hannah Coffin 5

Key Stat:  Cambridge put the game away with a 19-1 third quarter.

Take Away:  Cambridge combined a good defensive effort with three double, digit scorers to notch the victory in Schaghticoke.  With the win Cambridges improves to 2-1, 3-2 on the year.  

Tamarac 90 Mechanicville 51

Key Stat: Tamarac gained control with a 29-9 second quarter.

Take Away: The Bengals won every period, put four players in doubles with two more netting nine points, in rolling past the Raiders for the road win.

Hoosic Valley 96 Cambridge 41

Leading Scorers: Valley – Isiah Eckler 20 Logan Reilly 18 Chris Jones 14 Gabe Coffin 13 Cambridge – Travis Yurschak 15

Key Stat: The Valley started with a 26-8 first period.

Take Away: The Indians saw 10 players score, four hitting doubles digits, and had six different players bottom a triple in posting the one-sided decision at Cambridge.

Leading Scorers: Warriors – Lukas Lilac 19 Jaxon Mueller 14 Saints – Hunter Failes 9

Key Stat: Stillwater held the Saints to single numbers in every frame.

Take Away: Stillwater used a big defensive effort on the night and took control with a 24-point second period coasting to the road “W” over the Saints.

Key Stat: Mount Anthony connected 19 times from beyond the arc.

Take Away: In a close, long-range shootout where the two squads combined to drain 30, 3-pointers, the Patriots hit one of two free throws with six seconds left to take the lead. The Falls advanced the ball to midcourt and took a timeout with three seconds remaining, setting up two inside looks at the game-winner with neither one falling.

Take Away:  In a matchup between two talented squads Ballston Spa rode a 13-point cushion, built over the first eight minutes, to the victory over the Bengals on Sunday in the Coaches vs. Cancer event at HVCC.

Key Stat:  Mechanicville didn’t allow a point in the second frame.

Take Away:  The Raiders jumped out to a 22-9 lead after the first eight minutes and rode a dominant, defensive effort to the road win over the Saints, moving to 4-1 on the season.

Key Stat:  The Mountaineers took control with a 21-7 second period.

Take Away:  Berlin/New Lebanon hang 80 on the board in Cambridge and improve to 2-2 on the year with the road “W”.

Key Stat:  The Valley converted on 13 of 17 free throws while the Blackbirds connected on just 4 of 13.  

Take Away:  The Indians built a 37-28 advantage by the break and rode that cushion to the “W” in the Coaches Vs. Cancer event at HVCC.

Key Stat:  Greenwich held Canjo to single numbers in each of the first three periods.

Take Away:  The Witches won every quarter and controlled things throughout, in doubling up Canajoharie.

Take Away:  Greenwich fired on all cylinders drilling five triples, connecting on 18 of 22 from the stripe, while placing four players in doubles with a fifth scoring nine points, in the one-sided decision in Greenwich.

Key Stat:  The Raiders outscored Waterford 41-20 over the middle two frames.

Take Away:  Mechanicville trailed 9-8 after the first period but dominated the rest of the way and moved to 4-1 with the home “W”.

Cambridge 53   Stillwater 21

Leading Scorers:  Cambridge – Schuylar Nolan 20       Samantha Crandall 10         Warriors – Miranda Price 8

Key Stat:  Cambridge held the Warriors to single numbers in all four quarters.

Take Away:  Cambridge won every period and slowly pulled away for the comfortable victory at home, moving to 3-2 on the season.

Key Stat:  The Panthers doubled up the Mountaineers 26-13 in the first and shutout their hosts in the second frame.

Take Away:  The Falls built a 46-19 lead after three, nearly put four players in doubles, and coasted to the road win over the Mountaineers.  

Hoosic Valley 82   Greenwich 51

Leading Scorers:  Valley – Isiah Eckler 30      Gabe Coffin 12     Logan Reilly 11     Isaac Wiley 10         Witches – Joe Skiff 18

Key Stat:  Hoosic Valley held a 32-13 advantage in makes from two-point range.  

Take Away:  The Valley opens their season in style, winning every quarter and placing four players in doubles led by Eckler’s 30-point night.  The Indians will look to stack another “W” in Schaghticoke Friday night when they play host to the 1-1, 3-1, Panthers of Hoosick Falls.  

Stillwater 86   Cambridge 34

Key Stat:  Stillwater jumped out to a 28-8 lead after one and backed that with a 23-11 second period.  

Take Away:  The Warriors put 10 players in the scoring column and hung 75 points on the board thru the first three frames in coasting past Cambridge Tuesday night in Stillwater.   Next up for the Warriors is a Friday night run in Stillwater with undefeated Tamarac in a 7:30 tip.
