Five Wasaren teams were in action Saturday in the Section II Basketball Tournament as the Greenwich boys took the floor in Class C, along with Hoosick Falls, Hoosic Valley, Stillwater, and Tamarac in Class B on the girls side. Continue reading

The Hoosick Falls boys and the Greenwich girls both ran into the juggernaut known as Meekel Christian Academy, and the Wasaren squads both fell hard ending their season’s in sectional quarterfinal action.

In Friday night’s foul-plagued Class B quarterfinal at Shenendehowa, both Glens Falls and Stillwater struggled to find rhythm offensively. Constant whistled interrupted the game’s flow, but those whistles also meant free throws, and the Indians took advantage knocking down 24 of 36 from the line, fueling Glens Falls’ 73 -59 victory over the Warriors in the Section II Basketball Tournament.
