Tamarac 3 Cambridge 1 OT: Tamarac’s Sydney Moss scored a pair of goals to lead the visiting Bengals to the overtime victory over Cambridge.
Lynn Brownell’s second half goal for the Indians knotted the game at 1-1, forcing the extra sessions.
Cambridge keeper Victoria Dupuis had eight saves in the contest, while her counterpart Sarah Gibbs recorded four saves for the Bengals.
Hoosick Falls 3 Hoosic Valley 1: Taylor Mann scored a goal in each half, and Darian Morgan added a second half strike to lead the Panthers to the win over Hoosic Valley.
The Indians Zoe Neary scored in the second half for the Valley.
Lauren Paul made 16 saves in goal for Hoosic Valley, while Sydney Miller turned away 10 shots for the Falls.
Spa Catholic 4 Sharon Springs 2: Sharon Springs grabbed the early 1-0 lead, but Saratoga Catholic scored four unanswered, three coming in the second half to post the victory.
Kristen Mahar scored a hat trick, and Megan Schmid added a single goal for the Saints, after Arianna Russman had given Sharon Springs the lead with her goal just four minutes in.
Spa Catholic’s keeper Kara Colvin recorded six saves on the day, and Lianna Keller saved seven for Sharon Springs.
Golf
Cambridge 5 Waterford 0: Gabe Evans fired a 40 to claim medalist honors and lead the Indians to the win over Waterford in a match played at the Hoosick Falls Country Club.
Ethan Jeskie, Nethanel Woodcock, Ben Epler, and Parker Robertson all won individual matches for the Indians who with the win improve to 5-3 on the year.
Today the Stillwater Athletic Hall of Fame will welcome it’s newest members to join their elite family. This year’s inductees will be Michael Kardash ( Class of ’75 ), Peter D’Aloia Sr., Dominick Fruci, Aileen Durant, and the 2005-06 Varsity Boys Basketball team.
A ceremony will be held in the middle school cafeteria at 6 p.m. before the Warriors meet Tamarac to kick off their football season at 7 p.m. The inductees will also be recognized on the field during halftime.


Golf
Hoosick Falls 3 Tamarac 2: In a match played at Frear Park the Panthers Ryan Bloomer carded a 36 to take medalist honors and lead the Falls to the narrow victory over the Bengals. Continue reading
