Greenwich 8  Granville 0

Winning Pitcher: Carson McKinney 5 IP I hit, 5 K’s

Leading Hitters: Witches – John Walsh 3-3 RBI, Lukas Whitehouse 2-3 2b, RBI, Brendan Stout 2-4, 3 RBI’s    Horde – Ethan Patch 1b

Key Stat: The Witches out hit Granville 12-2 and scored seven times in frames two and three, securing the comfortable victory.

 

Hoosick Falls 6  Tamarac 3

Winning Pitcher: Wyatt Whitman three-hitter

Leading Hitter: Falls – Connor McCart 2b, RBI      Bengals – Jonzell Neal 2 1b’s RBI

Key Stat: Whitman goes the distance and the Falls does just enough offensively to run their league mark to 2-2.

 

Hoosic Valley 15  Cambridge 7

Winning Pitcher: Jon Colligan

Leading Hitters: Valley – Alex Carlo 1b, 2b, 2 RBI’s

Key Stat: The Valley puts 15 runs on the board to stay undefeated in Wasaren play.

 

Softball

Greenwich 3  Granville 1

Winning Pitcher: Rachel Hall

Leading Hitters: Witches – Gabby VanDeWater 2b, RBI   Horde – Natalie Haynes 2 singles

Key Stat: Greenwich scored twice in the first and Hall and the Greenwich defense, despite committing three errors, made it stand to keep their record a perfect 5-0 on the season.

 

Mechanicville 15  Stillwater 0

Winning Pitcher: Emily Ford  one-hitter 6 K’s

Leading Hitters: Red Raiders – Haily Rivers 4 hits, 2 RBI’s, Amanda Kenyon 3 hits, 4 RBI’s, Madison Harrington 2 hits, 2 RBI’s

Key Stat: After dropping two league games last week where they scored one run combined, the Raiders get back on track with 15 runs and the easy victory over the Warriors.
