Girls Soccer, Warriors, Valley Win in OT

Stillwater 2   Cambridge 1:  Brooke Pickett found the back of the net in the first overtime to give the Warriors the overtime victory over Cambridge.

The Indians Miranda Seacord had staked the host squad to a 1-0 lead on a first half strike, but Stillwater answered with a second half score by Brooke Brinsko setting up the extra sessions and Pickett’s game winner.

 

Hoosic Valley 2   Greenwich 0:  The Valley scored goals in both overtime periods to post the “W”.

After battling to a scoreless tie in regulation, the Indians Samantha Lanoue tallied twice in the added minutes for the Valley victory.

Indian keeper Lauren Paul saved 5 shots to earn the shutout.

 

Mechanicville 3   Tamarac 1:  A pair of first half goals, one each from Madalynn Garone, and Brynn Murphy, gave the Raiders control and they rode the cushion to the win over Tamarac.

Mackenzie Bowie added a second half strike for Mechanicville, and Tamarac’s Lauren Hunt rounding out the scoring finding the range late in the second half.
