Cambridge 62  Fort Edward 0:  Another Saturday and another blowout win for the Indians of Cambridge.  Zack Rowland threw for two touchdowns, Colton Dean ran for a pair, and Ryan McLenithan scored on an 18-yard run and an 18-yard interception return to lead the assault on Fort Edward.

With the win Cambridge improves to 5-0 on the year and will play next Friday night when they travel to Canajoharie.

Voorheesville 34  Mechanicville 20:  Voorheesville ran out to a 20-0 lead and the Raiders fell short in their comeback bid.

Trailing by three scores Mechanicville quarterback Dan Motta ran for a 3-yard score, and threw a 31-yard scoring strike to Spencer Morgan, trimming the halftime deficit to 20-13.

After Blackbird quarterback Ryan Daly threw his third touchdown pass of the game, it was Motta again running it in from 2-yards out and the teams entered the final period with Voorheesville holding a 27-20 advantage.

Over the final twelve minutes the Blackbird defense kept the Raiders off the board and a 3-yard touchdown run by Daly sealed the “W” for Voorheesville.

Mechanicville (4-1) looks to bounce back on Friday night when they play host to the Stillwater Warriors in the annual Indian Bowl game.
