Warriors, Raiders Share the Crown

Mechanicville 1   Hoosick Falls 1  OT: First half goals from the Panthers Darian Morgan and the Red Raiders Madison Harrington sent the teams to the break deadlocked.  Over the second half and two overtime periods neither squad was able to finish a scoring run, and the resulting tie left the door open for Stillwater to share the Wasaren title with Mechanicville (11-1-2).

Both keepers played well in the match with the Raiders Lauren Claeys saving 12 shots, and Sydney Miller rejecting 17 shots for Hoosick Falls (9-3-2).

Stillwater 3   Hoosic Valley 1 OT:  This one took extra sessions as well before the Warriors claimed the “W” and their share of the league crown.

After playing to a 1-1 tie through regulation, Stillwater’s Brooke Pickett scored a goal in both overtime periods, giving her a hat trick in the match, and more importantly a piece of the Wasaren title.

Danika Svendsen saved 9 shots for Stillwater (11-1-2).

Tamarac 1  Greenwich 0 OT:  In the third overtime match of the day Sydney Moss found Isabella Bisciglia who put away the game winner in the second overtime session giving the Bengals the well earned “W”.

Sarah Gibbs saved four shots to earn the shutout for Tamarac, and Greenwich keeper Courtney Fraher turned back 17 shots for the Witches.

Cambridge 7   Waterford 3:  Miranda Seacord exploded with five goals to lead the Indians over the Fordians.

Elisabeth Ashton-Facin, and Taylor Stallmer added goals for Cambridge, while Alexis Viola scored a pair to lead the Waterford attack.
