Waterford used and needed a 38 point night from Kyle Fairclough to squeeze past Berlin 68-66 in a non-league game on Tuesday.
The Fordians held a six point advantage heading to the final period and hung on for the”W”.
Roark Slatterly with 28 points and Ryan Willis with 16 led the Berlin attack.
In other non-league action it was Canajoharie running out to a 31-12 halftime lead and using that cushion to fight off a second half run from Hoosic Valley, posting the 60-52 victory.
Trevor Folts with 16 points and Mike Hartlieb with 14 led Canjo on the night.
Issac Sanchez had a game-high 27 points for the Valley who put 40 points on the board after intermission in a second half run that came up just short.
