Lady Witches Run Past Corinth

73_greenwichIn a game which was decided early, four Greenwich players scored doubled figures leading the Witches to a 69-13 victory over Corinth in the season-opener for both teams.

Olivia Barnes scored 13 points, Sabrina Whitehouse and Emma Brophy scored 12 each, and Molly Brophy added 11 in the one-sided affair.

Greenwich surged to a 27-2 advantage after one period of play and dominated on both ends of the floor defensively holding the Tomahawks to single digit in every quarter.

 

In action from Tuesday night it was Schuylerville getting past Stillwater 55-43 that was close throughout.

The teams were deadlocked after one, and the Black Horses held a 30-24 lead at the half. After an even third period Schuylerville outscored  the Warriors 15-9 in the decisive fourth quarter to capture the win.

Emily Vallee with 23 points, including five 3-pointers led the Black Horses while Natalie Menneto with 10 points, and Danika Svendsen with 9 paced the Stillwater attack.
