Greenwich 42 Whitehall 3: After a 28-yard field goal from Whitehall’s Nick Kennedy trimmed the Greenwich lead to 7-3 early in the second period, Witches QB Cole Burgess took over.
Burgess scored on an 85-yard kickoff return, and runs of 80 and 4 yards before the break giving Greenwich control and a 28-3 halftime lead, on their way to the easy victory over the Railroaders.
Burgess finished the night with 187 yards on the ground, and teammate Reese Cristaldi added a pair of rushing scores as the Witches improve to 5-1 with the “W”.
Holy Trinity 48 Hoosick Falls 19: Pride quarterback Joseph Tortello threw for 285 yards and five touchdowns, four covering 50 plus yards, to lead Holy Trinity past the Panthers of Hoosick Falls.
Tortello threw strikes of 52, 65, 76, 91 and 27 yards as the big play Pride attack was on full display notching their fifth win in six outings.
Hoosick Falls quarterback Sam Richard threw for two scores and ran for another to lead the Panthers who slip to 4-2 with the loss.
Watervliet 42 Tamarac 32: The Cannoneers jumped out to a 14-0 after the first period and used that cushion to secure the win over Tamarac.
V’liet quarterback Tyler Beauregard ran for a score and threw for two more to lead the 5-1 Watervliet squad.
Tamarac falls to 2-3 on the season with the loss.
