Cambridge 55  Mechanicville 51

Leading Scorers:  Indians – Brenden Holcomb 22   Tristan Williams 11     Red Raiders – Joe Germaine 12  Phelan 11

Key Stat:  Mechanicville knocked back 10 triples to Cambridge’s three, but the Indians converted 14 of 26 from the foul line while the Raiders were 3 of 8.

Summary:  Mechanicville out scored the Indians in three of the four quarters but a 17-5 second period gave Cambridge enough cushion to come away with the win.

 

Greenwich 35  Hoosic Valley 34

Leading Scorers:  Witches – John Walsh 8   Ellis Pemrick 8      Indians – John Acker 17

Key Stat:  In a defensive battle the Witches scored nearly half of their points from the foul line cashing in for 16 points from the stripe.

Summary: Greenwich led 31-20 entering the final frame but needed a Josh James free throw with .3 seconds left to secure the “W”.

 

Girls

Hoosick Falls 53  Saratoga Catholic 34

Leading Scorers:  Falls – Logan Thayne 29   Lillian Hickey 11         Saints – Ani Crocker 11

Key Stat:  The Panthers out scored Spa Catholic 25-11 over the middle two periods to take control of the contest.

Summary:  The Falls won every quarter and rode a big scoring night by Thayne to the easy victory.

 

Stillwater 53  Waterford 24

Leading Scorers:  Warriors – Marley Mueller 16     Fordians – Emily Kelley 11

Key Stat:  Stillwater held Waterford to nine second half points.

Summary:  In a game that Stillwater led 26-15 at the half, the Warriors defense took center stage after the break including a fourth period where they shutout the Fordians.
